The leader of the infamous Sinaloa cartel was found guilty in the United States for running a large criminal enterprise. He now faces a life imprisonment. Mexico had ‘El Chapo’ extradited to the US in 2017, after he repeatedly escaped from prison in his own country.

A lawyer for the infamous drug lord now claims that his boss is planning to demand a new lawsuit.

The reason is an interview that an anonymous member of the jury gave to Vice News. The source said that several jurors secretly followed news coverage of the case. The judge had urged them not to do so, to avoid influencing the jury.
