Germany is intrigued to find out what happened to 15-year-old Rebecca Reusch. The girl from Berlin disappeared ten days ago after spending a weekend with her sister and brother-in-law. In the meantime, the brother-in-law remains arrested after interrogation, perhaps he is seen as a suspect in the disappearance case although the police have not yet confirmed this.

On February 18, Rebecca Reusch was last seen by her sister Jessica. The 15-year-old girl stayed for a weekend with her sister in Britz, a municipality in the German state of Brandenburg, less than an hour’s drive from Berlin. Jessica said goodbye to Rebecca early in the morning, the girl herself would take the bus to school a little later. Since then, every trace of the teenager is missing: she never arrived at school and she did not come home that evening for dinner with her parents. Her cell phone was turned off.

According to sources close to the investigation, the brother-in-law would have stated that he had come home around six o’clock in the morning on the 18th of February and noticed at 8.30 that Rebecca was no longer there. As to the question of whether Rebecca is still alive and what exactly happened to her, the police did not want to answer.

In the meantime, sister Jessica has started her own search via social media. With the hashtag #findbecci she tries to gather as much information and testimonials as possible that may lead in the direction of her sister. “It’s about the life of my sister and I will not give up. I keep searching until I can hold her again.”
