The various Taco Bell employees that were caught on a video beating up the many complaining customers have by now been fired.
The video of an incident that took place on Sunday night 24 February went viral this week showing how employees from a Taco Bell in the Center City district of Philadelphia beat up their own customer for daring to complain about waiting for 45 minutes for taco orders.
The victim seen in the video, Mr Reese, stated: “I backed out of the store.”
“They continued to follow me. They put me on the ground, and I don’t really remember too much else. Except for when I got up my girlfriend was on the ground being beat, too. She wasn’t even in the store at the time.”
The chain at first gave him a $20 gift card but refused to release the names of the employees involved. After the video went viral, Taco bell admitted the people seen beating customers in the video have been fired.
Taco Bell said: “We’re shocked and disappointed to see this situation; we and our franchisees do not tolerate this behavior. The franchisee who owns and operates this location is retraining its staff, and all team members involved have been terminated.”
