At least 25 passengers on a plane from Turkish Airlines airline were injured on Saturday as heavy turbulence occurred when approaching New York’s JFK airport.
The Boeing 777, which came from Istanbul, had 326 passengers and 21 crew members on board. The turbulence is said to have occurred when flying over New England.
The John F. Kennedy airport in New York claims there are 25 wounded, the fire brigade has the number at 29. The landing itself would have happened without incident.
The injuries ranged from bruises and cuts, to bloodied faces, to a broken leg. Several small children were also hurt.
