The masks of so many clean-cut K-Pop bands is starting to fall off. Scandals are following each other on a daily basis now. Whereas yesterday singer Seungri, a hugely successful member of boy band Bigbang announced his retirement from show business for having ‘provided prostitutes to early investors,’ today 30-year-old singer Jung Joon-young, also claimed to be stopping the music industry. His story is even more shocking.
Mr Joon-young was apparently filming himself having sex with women and then sharing the videos online in a chatroom with other K-pop stars.
“I admit to all my crimes,” he said.

“I filmed women without their consent and shared it in a chatroom, and while I was doing so I didn’t feel a great sense of guilt.”
Jung was only of three male artists in a group chat room where some members shared secretly filmed footage of a sexual nature of at least 10 women.
Both men are also linked to the ‘Burning Sun’ scandal, a hugely popular Seoul nightclub where staff used hidden cameras to film women and used alcohol and drugs to sexually assault them.
